Synopsis:
After getting unexpectedly fired from her job in a London PR firm, Helen (Paltrow) heads home in the middle of the afternoon. At the train station, the fabric of time pauses and we get to see two different Helens: One of them gets through the train doors just in time and arrives home to catch her boyfriend in the middle of a tryst. The other Helen misses the train and gets home hours later, none the wiser about her boyfriend's infidelities.

Neither Helen is aware of just how much the seemingly insignificant moment - missing the train or not missing the train - changes everything. The audience, however, gets to see what happens to both of them.

I would recommend this movie!

Why?
I enjoyed this movie very much and have seen it more than once. It really makes you think about the "what ifs" you encounter everyday and how just one small decision, or accident of fate, can change the trajectory of your entire life.

You might also enjoy:
Me Myself I (starring Rachel Griffiths), The Family Man (starring Nicolas Cage) and The Butterfly Effect (starring Ashton Kutcher) are films that also play with the idea of "what might have been."
