    I would recommend this movie!

    Why?
I think that pre-teens who have read this book, especially boys, will enjoy this movie.

The young actors who played the jailed juveniles did a great job with their roles. The adults seemed to be overacting; however, their characters were so pitifully sad, this may have been done on purpose. The way the past and present were linked was interesting to watch.

There was very little cursing in the movie; some violence (like fist fighting among the boys); a murder was implied in a flashback scene and there was some Old West type shooting.

    Additional Comments:

This movie is based on the book Holes by Louis Sachar.
