The computers in the Reference Department have access to Ancestry Library. This database can only be used inside the library building. To make an appointment to use one of our computers, call 330-832-9831 ext. 312. The Obituary Index for the Massillon Independent and other Ohio newspapers is accessible online. To request copies of obituaries or other genealogy research assistance, contact the Reference Department at: mpl.ref@gmail.com . Please type "Genealogy" in the subject line. Charges for Genealogy Research Obituaries: $1.00 (There is a limit of three obituaries per request.) General Research: $10.00 per hour after the first hour Photocopies $.15 per page (including those made in the first hour) Submit a research request online.
