Since 1897, when Mr. George Harsh bequeathed $10,000 for the establishment of a public library, the Massillon Public Library has been an important part of the community. From its first home on historic Fourth Street to the current 1936-built Main Library, to our hope for expansion in the future, we have been growing through the years. Today, your library is thriving with two branches, a Reachout program for the homebound, a bookmobile, a collection of more than 130,000 volumes and a jam-packed web site to serve you.

The Friends of Massillon Public Library is a non-profit organization that helps to make these wonderful things available to everyone.
