Letters from Rifka by Karen Hesse

This book is about Jews risking their lives and the lives of the people who are hiding them. They go from place to place so the German Army cannot find them and take them to "the camp". They see people go into the camp and never return. They also hear stories that people to the camp and get burnt alive. Will they get caught?

I liked this book because in every chapter something exciting or amazing happens. In one chapter the German army goes house to house checking for Jews to take to the camp. Sini and her sister Annie (the main characters) are in their hiding spot. I thought they'd get caught for sure.

This book keeps you on the edge of your seat every time you pick it up.
