On Friday, August 12, from 5:15 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., the Massillon Public Library invites genealogists to a free, after-hours Genealogy Lock-In. Genealogists will have exclusive use of the library’s Reference Room and public computers, giving them access to many of the library's services for genealogy research. Researchers can access Stark County’s vital records and learn how to use the three microfilm reader/printers. Attendees can save microfilm images to CD or flash drive and take advantage of free copying and printing during the event.
Registration is required for this Lock-In and can be done by phone or in person at the library’s Reference Desk.
The Genealogy Society welcomes the public to its meetings and programs. For additional information or to register, contact Jean Adkins at 330.832.9831, ext. 337.
The Massillon Public Library is located at 208 Lincoln Way East in Massillon. The library’s Second Street entrance is handicap accessible.
