I have been obsessed with Arthurian legend since I saw the movie Camelot, or maybe when I read T.H. White's The Once and Future King. I even did a senior thesis in college on the knights' quest for the Holy Grail! But The Mists of Avalon is hands-down the best because the magical legend of King Arthur is vividly retold through the eyes and lives of the women who wielded power from behind the throne.

In this photo, I am dressed as Arthur's sister Morgaine who says in the book that she always wore "dark robes of wisdom," appropriate for any reader and library-user!
