On Tuesday, June 26 at 7:00 p.m. the MPL Core Jazz Band will present a live concert at the Massillon Senior Center, 39 Lincoln Way West, in Massillon. This popular concert series, sponsored by the Massillon Public Library, is free and open to the public.
The concert will kick off at 7:00 p.m. The first half of the concert will consist of traditional New Orleans jazz featuring trumpet, clarinet, trombone, drums, bass, piano, ukulele, banjo and a vocalist. The second half is open to musicians, young and old, who want to sit in and jam with the band.
The second half of the program, from 8:15 to 9:00 p.m., is open to musicians, young and old, who want to jam with the band.
On-street parking as well as two-hour free parking on the parking deck behind the Senior Center building is available to the public. Handicap parking is also available on street level beneath the parking deck. Attendees may enter the rear of the building from the parking deck. The Friends of Massillon Public Library will provide free light refreshments.
