As a high school football star Chris Spielman was voted All-Ohio and was the first high school athlete to be pictured on the Wheaties cereal box. He was a two-time All-American at Ohio State and a three-time All-Pro with the NFL's Detroit Lions. He was inducted into the College Hall of Fame in 2010.
Currently, Spielman is a color analyst for ESPN on college football game telecasts. He is also a TV studio analyst on college football.
Bruce Hooley is Spielman's co-author on the book and the former host of "Spielman on Sports" on Columbus radio. Currently, Hooley is co-host of a sports talk show on Cleveland radio's ESPN 850 WKNR.
