On Monday, November 19, at 6:00 p.m. the Massillon Public Library will present “Self-Defense for Women,” with guest presenter Jeff Masters.
Self-protection, coupled with self-defense, are crucial elements to a woman’s physical safety. This program will teach two essential, fundamental keys: learning to always be aware of and avoid dangerous situations, and effectively defending yourself when danger arises. With these tools, needless victimization can be avoided.
Masters, who served on the Massillon Police Force, will focus on necessary proactive measures every woman should incorporate into her daily life to help her avoid dangerous situations. Additionally, he will demonstrate simple maneuvers that every woman can do to protect herself from a would-be attacker.
No registration is required for this free adult program to be held in the library auditorium. For more information, contact the Reference Department at 330-832-9831, ext. 312.
