On Friday, January 18, from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., the Massillon Public Library presents “Welcome to the World of e-Books for Kindle Users.” During this free program, participants will be introduced to the basics of eBooks and how to download them from the Ohio eBook Project website for reading on a Kindle or Kindle Fire. Then, later the same day, from 2:30 to  4:00 p.m. the Library presents “Welcome to the World of e-Books,” in which participants will be also be introduced to the basics of e-Books, specifically for downloading on devices OTHER THAN KINDLE, such as Nook, Kobo, Pandigital, Aluratek, and Literati, to name a few.

The library’s collection of free eBooks includes hundreds of newly released titles by popular authors such as Mary Higgins Clark, Nora Roberts, and Janet Evanovich.  Patrons can also choose from many children’s titles, including Wild At Heart: American Girls series and Al Capone Does My Shirts. Also available are entire sections devoted to topics such as business and careers, biographies and autobiographies, history and self-improvement.
