On Monday, October 28 at noon and again at 6:00 p.m., the Monday Book Clubs will discuss "The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time" by Mark Haddon. The library invites readers to pick the time that best meets their schedule and join other readers for an hour of fun and relaxed conversation.
Christopher John Francis Boone knows all the countries of the world and their capitals and every prime number up to 7,057. He relates well to animals but has no understanding of human emotions. He cannot stand to be touched. And he detests the color yellow. This improbable story of Christopher's quest to investigate the suspicious death of a neighborhood dog makes for one of the most captivating, unusual, and widely heralded novels in recent years.
The Monday Book Clubs meet on the fourth Monday of each month at noon in the library’s auditorium and at 6:00 p.m. in the library’s Second Floor Meeting Room. The book clubs are free and open to the public. No registration is required. Copies of book discussion titles are available at the library's Reference Desk.
