November Book Discussion Group

On Monday, November 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the second floor meeting room, the Massillon Public Library Adult Book Discussion Group invites readers to join us as we discuss the One Book, One Community choice, The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls.

Published in 2005, The Glass Castle, Ms. Walls’ memoirs of being raised in a dysfunctional - yet uniquely colorful - family quickly appeared and remained on the New York Times best-seller list for more than a year. Unlike many memoirs of growing up in poverty and alcoholism, this book does not deliver a steady diet of darkness. The ending leaves you with the satisfaction and hope that a child, choosing courage and resilience, can not only overcome the influences of their environment and survive, but can achieve success and thrive.

This program is free and open to the public and no reservations are required. The Massillon Public Library is located at 208 Lincoln Way East. The Second Street ground-level entrance is handicapped accessible. For more information, call the library 330.832.9831 ext. 311.
