Food For Fines

From November 16 through December 16 the Massillon Public Library, its branches and the bookmobile will accept non-perishable food items and/or new school supplies in lieu of current fines. This fine forgiveness is only for overdue items currently checked out and returned to the library with a donation. This program does not extend forgiveness for past fines, replacement costs and collection fees.

The library asks each person to be guided by his conscience and size food donations somewhat in proportion to the fines owed. All food donations will be given to the Salvation Army in Massillon for distribution to its clients.

Food For Fines will be observed at the Main Library, the Askren Branch in Navarre, the Belloni Branch in Brewster and the Bookmobile.
