On
Saturday, January 12th at 10:00 a.m. the Massillon Public Library will present
"Toys and Games of Long Ago" for children in grades K-6 as part of its Super Saturday Series.
Can you imagine not having a TV, or computer, not even a swing set or bicycle? Kathy Jevec
of Rabbit on the Moon Art Studio will teach us to make some of the toys that children made
themselves and played with long ago. We will learn to make a thaumatrope (two spinning pictures),
pinwheel, and even a parachute. She will also teach us to play two games that Indian children played.
The program will be held in the auditorium of the Massillon Public Library 208 Lincoln Way East.
Registration is required and begins Monday, December 31st.
