On
Saturday, February 23rd at 10:00 a.m. children in grades K-6 are
invited to the Massillon Public Library for "Follow the Drinking Gourd" as part
of its Super Saturday Series.
The story of the Underground Railroad: no, it isn’t underneath the ground and
there are no trains! The Drinking Gourd is another name for the Big Dipper,
which helped enslaved people find their way north. Learn about this inspiring
trail to freedom through stories, poems, and a drawing activity. We will also have a special snack.
Registration is required and begins Monday, February 11. For more information,
