Drop a book off - pick a book up! It's easy and free!
Every day, patrons of the Massillon Public Library share books through
the Paperback Trade Rack, located in the rotunda of the Massillon Public Library.
Donations from library patrons make the selection of titles contained in this popular
resource always changing and available to everyone - even those without a library card.
While perusing the titles, a patron from Beach City commented, "I have been taking
home books from this rack for over 15 years. I used to walk to the West Side Branch
and drop off the books I was finished with, then I would take a couple of different
books home with me off the rack. When that Branch closed, I was afraid I would not
be able to trade books any more. I was so glad to see this rack at the Main library!"
She continued, "Because I don’t drive, I cannot always bring library books back when
they are due, so getting books this way is perfect for me." She added with a grin, "I
can also take my time and read as many books as I like."
The Friends of the Massillon Public Library are currently accepting donations of
your gently used books to replenish the Paperback Trade Rack. Since no library card
is needed to use this rack, patrons simply write on the clipboard (located on the
rack) the number of books they have brought in, or the number of books they are taking out.
