The Children's Department of the
Pam S. Belloni Branch of the Massillon Public Library, located at
the Fairless Elementary School, is now taking registration for its 2008 Summer Reading Club - "Don’t
Bug Me I’m Reading!" Children who join as either an independent Reader or as a Read-To-Me will receive
specially decorated plastic book bags, filled with a set of instructions about the program, Reading
Records, activity sheets, bookmarks, stickers and temporary tattoos. Each week, a special reward will
be given to those children who have met a predetermined goal of time spent reading or listening to
stories read to them by someone else. There will be weekly drawings for prizes for those playing
the "Guess How Many Game."
Beginning June 17th, every Tuesday morning at 11:00 a.m., children from grades Pre-K to 6th are
invited to come and enjoy a very "buggy" program, packed with tons fun and learning ALL ABOUT BUGS!
Also, every day, beginning June 9th, there will be a variety of fun games and crafts for children
to "drop in and do" any time during library hours.
Children are welcome to enter into the Summer Reading Program any time June 9th or after. Summer
Reading Club Program 2008 runs through July 11th. Simply call or stop by to register for any of
the programs you wish to attend.
