Summary:
The story is of Talia, a young girl from Valdemar and the Heralds of that country. It is set in a time before all of the modern day "conveniences."
Talia is a shy, backward, 13-year-old outcast at the beginning of the tales. The reader witnesses her growth throughout the books to see her become a strong, powerful woman.
I would recommend these books!
Why?
I loved this series when I first read it at age 15. Thinking that it may have had to do with my age, I read it again at age 25. I still love it! It was able to keep me interested the whole time - I even stayed up into the wee hours of the morning reading one of the books. This is one of the best, most interesting and well-written series of books I have ever read.
