This book is strong in character and story.
Summary:
Beth Cappadara's three-year old son, Ben, disappears while she is
checking in at a hotel to attend a high school reunion. How Beth, her husband
and their other son, Vincent (who was supposed to be watching Ben when he disappears),
deal with the loss and try to move on is the gist of this novel.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
This was one of Oprah Winfrey's recommended books and rightfully so.
Mothers especially would relate to the guilt and heartache felt by Beth. It
pulls at your heart strings and you'll keep reading to a surprise ending.
Additional information about this book:
This was made into a movie starring Michelle Pfeiffer and Treat Williams.
