    Author: Mark Twain

    type of book: Satire

This book is strong in character, story, language and setting.

    Summary:
The narrator receives a blow to the head that sends him 13 centuries back in time to the Age of Camelot. Here, he is almost burned at the stake before convincing everyone that he is a greater magician than Merlin himself. He uses dynamite, newspapers and the telephone to beguile Arthur and his court into a nineteenth-century existence -- which isn't entirely a good idea.

    I would recommend this book!

    Why?
When I cracked open this lengthy book, I didn't know whether I was going to like it. I like a good book to be REALLY good, you see. This book has quickly made it to my *Top Three Favorites Of All Time*. Twain's wit is like a rare jewel, and he is able wind a good story into a deeper thread of social commentary, with the reader laughing the whole way through.

    Other suggested reading:
If you like Twain, I would also suggest reading the works of Kurt Vonnegut, Jr.
