This book is strong in
character and
story.
Summary:
Mac McFarland, a journalist currently doing freelance writing for the Times Magazine and acting as a "stringer" for the Boston
Globe, is living on Cape Cod, Massachusetts. An amateur photographer, Mac
discovers a VW Beetle just below the surface off Clam Pond, a dead woman
strapped in the passenger seat. The dead woman happens to be the sister of his
girlfriend Kate's college roommate. The local police chief begins to doubt his
initial feeling that the girl's death was an accident. So Mac begins his search
for the truth while working on a profile of Dolph Bridges, who is seeking the
nomination for President of the United States and just happens to be living
across Clam Pond where the accident
occurred.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
I enjoyed this book as it was fast moving, the characters were believable
and well developed and it was set in Cape Cod where I have visited. This book
smacks of politics, sex, scandal and coverup.
