This book is strong in character, story and setting.

    Summary:
Robert Langdon, a Harvard symbologist, is summoned from his Paris hotel room late at night by the French police. A murder has occurred at the Louvre and Robert's expertise is sought to decipher the graphic message left by the victim who was supposed to meet Robert later that evening for dinner. Aided by the victim's granddaughter, Robert begins a fascinating journey into the world of secret societies, art, ancient rituals, the Catholic Church and attempts to cover up a two thousand year old secret.

    I would recommend this book!

    Why?
The pace of this book kept me wanting to read more. The plot developed quickly and I was fascinated at the mysterious clues left behind by the murder victim. Just when one clue was deciphered, it lead to another that had to be broken in order to continue on toward the Holy Grail and the secret it would reveal.

Although this is a work of fiction, there are items in the book that are based on fact. Being raised Catholic, it was interesting to me to find out that there are secret societies on the fringe of the Catholic Church. To think that famous artists and scientists have been a part of this secret society is fascinating. I am sure this book has generated a lot of controversy. You will never look at a painting by Leonardo Da Vinci in the same way again!
