Title: Another City, Not My Own: A Novel in the form of a Memoir
Author: Dominick Dunne
type of book: Fiction
call number: FIC/Dun
|
This book is strong in story.
Summary:
Mr. Dunne has written a somewhat biographical novel based on his past
encounters and primarily on the O.J. Simpson trial. In this particular book,
though, the main character dies; and even then the killer is someone well known
to us. All the people and situations, other than the main character, family
names, and situations affecting them, are actual.
I might recommend this book.
Why?
If you are very interested in the O.J. Simpson trial, you would probably
like to read this book. I listened to the audio book version and it is read by
the author. Mr. Dunne is known for his writing, but he cannot read aloud. It was
difficult to know which character was speaking and I was relieved when the book
came to an end.
Additional comments:
If you are interested in the topic or are just a fan of Dominick
Dunne, I would recommend the print book and not the audio.
