Title: The Cat Who Turned On And Off
Author: Lilian Jackson Braun
type of book: Mystery
call number: Fic/Bra
|
This book is strong in character and story.
Summary:
If you are familiar with Braun's "the cat who" series, you know about
Koko and Yum Yum, the investigative Siamese cats who belong to a newspaper man
by the name of Quilleran. In the first books, of which this one, he is still
working for a newspaper. Later, after his inheritance, he relocates and does
his investigations as a wealthy man. Koko and Yum Yum are the cats with
abilities beyond the ordinary cat. In this book, they help to uncover murder and
mayhem among the antique dealers of "Junktown" at Christmas time. Enjoy the
shopping.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
The characters are "characters" and the kind of folk you might meet
anywhere. Nothing for the deep thinker, but a light and entertaining mystery.
This book on tape was read by George Guidall. He is very good and keeps you
listening.
Other suggested reading:
If you enjoy light mystery and cats, you will like this series. I
suggest you begin with the first book and work your way through. Otherwise, the
changes in Quill's life will become confusing.
