This book is strong in character, story and setting.
Summary:
Keeley is a successful interior decorator in a small Georgia town outside
Atlanta. She is set to marry her fiancée AJ until she throws a "hissy fit"
after finding him having sex with her best friend during the rehearsal dinner.
The Jernigans are the wealthiest family in town and decide to make trouble for her
decorating business. So when Will Mahoney, a self made business man planning to
restore one of the town's most historical old houses, comes into her
life she must accept him as a client - despite his annoying personality - in order to save
her business. In addition, Keeley must come to terms with her past by
investigating her mother's disappearance when she was a child.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
This is not what is generally expected from "chick lit" due to its black comedy and mystery
elements. Those wishing to branch out a little in their reading but still
wanting to enjoy to the lighthearted humor of the chick lit genre will like this
book. However, there are some more serious life moments at times in this story,
but not enough to disrupt enjoyment.
