Title: The Eternal Highlander
Authors: Hannah Howell and Lynsay Sands
type of book: Adult Fiction / Supernatural Romance
call number: FIC/ROM
|
This book is strong in character, story and setting.
Summary:
Two romance novellas with supernatural and sexy vampire flavor are included in this book. Howell's story is more spooky, while Sands' is more humorous. The main characters in the novellas, Cathal and Connall, are
cousins trying to breed out some of the vampire traits from their families. They
agree to find and marry Outsiders (normal mortals). Bridget literally falls
into Cathal's hands and he sets upon seducing her so she agrees to marry him, but
Bridget has family secrets of her own. Connall is less enthusiastic to marry
but agrees it is time and devised his own plan for marriage by purchasing a
bride from a poor noble family.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
These are fast, enjoyable reads for those who enjoy paranormal and/or
historical romance. Howell is a master storyteller of romance in the Scottish
highlands.
Other suggested reading:
any of Hannah Howell's romances set in Scotland
any of Maggie Shayne's "Twilight" or "Edge" series titles where vampires are
main characters
