This book is strong in character and story.
Summary:
Hannah is in charge of the annual town Christmas dinner, where this year's
special occasion is supposed to be highlighted by the celebration of the
publishing of the Lake Eden town recipe book. The dinner is to showcase all
of the recipes in the cookbook. All the townspeople are gathered ready to
celebrate Christmas, when the mayor's new (young) Las Vegas dancer wife is
found dead, with Hannah's mother's antique cake knife in her chest. Hannah
and her sister set off on helping Mike solve the case, unbeknownst to him.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
This story is filled with wacky characters and a fun mystery to solve. Best
of all is the inclusion of all the recipes (from appetizers to desserts)
appearing in the story at the back of the book. This book is sure to please
cozy mystery fans who enjoy fast paced, clean mysteries with subtle and clever
heroines.
