Title: What A Girl Wants
Authors: Kristin Billerbeck
type of book: Contemporary Women's Fiction / Inspirational
call number: FIC
|
This book is strong in character and story.
Summary:
This inspirational chick lit novel has just the right balance of Christian
influence and traditional chick lit humor, self discovery, and romance. Ashley
is a patent attorney working in Silicon Valley and is thoroughly bored with both
her job and nonexistent social life. She is in a state of denial and wonder as
to why a good looking single Christian girl can never find a date let alone a
husband. Also, she is becoming increasingly discontented with her church
singles group, her love of karaoke, Star Trek, and watching the Matrix far too many
times.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
Ashley decides she needs to begin taking some big risks in her social life.
So she sets out to win the affections of a handsome doctor . . . or is it her close
geek engineer friend Seth? Ashley's self discovery and learning are endearing,
her faith in God is inspiring (without being heavy-handed), and the humorous
situations she gets herself into are hilarious.

She's Out of Control, also by Kristen Billerbeck (the sequel)
