This book is strong in character and story.
Summary:
Valerie always wanted to have a glorious career in the fashion industry but had
little talent for any of it (writing, designing, modeling, etc.) She has
had a million different jobs. She lacks skills except for quick thinking and a
major aptitude for "BS" talking her way through or into any situation. Her new
public relations job at "Glass Slipper" is her last chance. She has landed
"Prince Charming" to be the advice columnist for the magazine. His identity
has always been a secret but she got him to sign an exclusive contract and agree
to put a face to the advice. Eric is the writer, but feels his credibility
would disappear if it was known he was gay and he has decided he wants a social
life - out in the open. He convinces his best friend Jack (a manly man
sportswriter) to be the face of Prince Charming. Valerie, Eric, and Jack embark
on the secret ruse of a century. The problem is everyone loves Jack so much they get
more exposure than was wished for, especially after the public gets the picture
that Jack "Prince Charming" and Valerie feel sparks flying.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
This is another fractured fairy tale that is funny and sexy. It has great
believable characters. Eric, Jack, and Valerie all overcome emotional personal
issues to find happiness and success while also being truly honest.
