This book is strong in character and story.
Summary:
Every Friday night for 20 years Kate, Sarah, and Rebecca have written entries
into the Lipstick Diaries and signed them with their signature lipstick color.
Kate's sister Jen is getting married in a week to Mark (Kate's boyfriend in
high school who supposedly cheated on her then and is still a womanizer). Kate
believes Mark is not good enough for her younger sister. Also, Kate still feels
really guilty after failing to get Jen help from her psycho ex-boyfriend the
previous year. Kate is determined to go to Indiana and stop the wedding at all
costs. The three lifetime friends will stand together against Mark.
Jen makes a bet with Kate and her friends that if one of them finds the
perfect guy (i.e. he can pass more of Grandma's eight tests than Mark did), she
won't marry Mark. Mark learns of the plan and tries to make sure the Lipstick girls
fail by warning every single male friend of his in town against the girls.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
The story is filled with real characters with real personalities and flaws. Each
