Summary:
Just as comic book artist Clayton Riddell is experiencing the best day of his professional life, a strange and deadly pulse transmitted over cell phones turns more than half of the world's population into raging zombies. In the days that follow, those who were unaffected by the transmission (termed "normies") maneuver through a world of telepathically connected "phone crazies" in an effort to locate loved ones and figure out how to survive in the ravaged world.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
The reader is thrown immediately into this story with a bang - the Pulse happens before page seven - and that pace never lets up until the end. This is old-style "can't it put it down" story telling by the reigning King of the genre.
Other suggested reading:
Bag of Bones, also by Stephen King
