Summary:
The story centers around the confessions of a young man infatuated with knowledge who is drawn into an elite group by a charismatic classics professor and faces a moral "fork in the road" when he discovers his friends have committed a murder and now want to kill one of their own who is likely to turn in them in.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
This is as good as the reviews! The deception, the arrogance, the peer pressure . . . all convincing enough that the reader identifies with Richard's desire to sacrifice ethics for "belonging." You can't put it down, and you'll think about its message long after you've finished.
