Title: Operating Instructions: A Journal of My Son's First Year
Author: Anne Lamott
type of book: Non-Fiction
call number: 813.54/Lam

This book is strong in story and language.
Summary:
This work of non-fiction is a single mother's truthful, humorous and sometimes painful journal of her baby's first year.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
This is one of those books that will make you laugh and cry, sometimes at
the same time. It isn't a very long book, and therefore a fairly quick read. I
actually wish it wouldn't have ended when it did, since I wanted to know more of
what happened to the different people mentioned.
Other suggested reading:
Lamott is also a fiction writer. Some of her novels include Blue Shoe, Crooked Little Heart and Hard Laughter: A Novel.
