This book is strong in
character, story, and language.
Summary:
Shirley Jackson, the author who wrote such chilling tales as The Haunting and The Lottery, also wrote tales of quite another strain altogether.
In Life Among the Savages, she gives a witty account of what it is like
raising four little children (and a husband) in a big, drafty house in New
England's countryside.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
This book is filled with the wisdom of the ages and presented in a truly hilarious
finesse. I've read it several times over and never tire of it!
