Title: In Her Shoes
Author: Jennifer Weiner
type of book: Fiction
call number: Fic
|
This book is strong in character and story.
Summary:
Rose and Maggie Feller are sisters with one thing in common - shoe
size.
Whereas Rose is a successful attorney, Maggie is successful in quitting jobs and
getting evicted.
When Maggie does an unthinkable act to hurt her sister, Rose casts her out of
her home - and her life.
Will what happened change the lives of these two sisters for the worse, or help
both of them find the happiness that has been evading them for the past 20 some
years?
I might recommend this book.
Why?
I was excited to read this book, since the reviews of it were pretty good
and it sounded interesting to me. Unfortunately, it wasn't quite what I
expected. Things worked out a little too tidily for my liking. The author also
skipped over time too much. I don't think that she was very cohesive about it,
either.
Overall, I think it is an "OK" book for a quick, light read.
