There are a variety of programs developed, organized, and implemented for teen patrons in grades 7 through 12 each year at the Massillon Public Library. These programs provide many different kinds of opportunities for teen library users.

Some of these events are educational, some are recreational, and some are just informative. Some programs call for a lot of participation from teens who attend, by getting them involved in physical or mental activities. Other programs are slower paced and independent in nature, meaning they are completed on the teen participant's own time and at his/her own leisure.

Examples of the types of programs regularly offered each year are:
    • trivia contests (such as Harry Potter, Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc.)
    • board game tournaments
    • after hours activities like live clue, mystery, and beach parties; scavenger hunts; and Halloween parties
    • coffee house & poetry nights
    • summer reading programs
(most books read contests or book discussion clubs)
    • real life training classes such as college financial aid or job skills seminars and workshops
    • Teen Read Week events with different activities and new themes each year
    • and many other monthly independent programs centered around themes or holidays.
