  • Encyclopedia of Life Sciences Vol. 1-11 - Call number Ref 570.3/Enc
    This collection of encyclopedias is an older edition, so you will be looking under "habitats" rather than "biomes," but the information provided is still very informative.

  • UXL Encyclopedia of Biomes Vol. 1-3 - Call number 577/UXL
    These volumes will be very informative on the subject of biomes of all types of environments, their characteristics, creation and continuity.

    A somewhat older edition, this book nonetheless provides an in-depth view of life within a pond. Discusses food chains and the various organisms that live there.

    This book deals with Rainforests and jungles throughout the world, identifying the creatures that inhabit them and their ecosystem. Provides a glossary of terms in the back of the book.

    Discusses a little about the life forms, food web and function of the rain forest, but deal mainly with the destruction and fight to save the world's rainforests.
