Public Internet access is available in the Reference Department and the Children's Department of the Massillon Public Library.

Internet access is an extremely popular service, so it is best to make an appointment ahead of time if you wish to use the Library computers.

Computers may be reserved for one-hour time slots by contacting the Reference Department at 330-832-9831 ext. 312 or the Children's Department at 330-832-5037.

Rules governing the use of computers in each department are linked to the school year calendar. For details about when computers are available for general or for student use, please see this notice.

Only one time slot per person per day may be reserved in the entire Library building.

Because the machines are located in public view, there are a few rules to follow when using the Library computers. A summary of what may and may not be done on the public access machines can be found here. The full-text of the Library's entire Internet Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) may be found here.

The Ohio Public Library Information Network (OPLIN) has provided Ohio public libraries with access to several outstanding databases. Most of these resources are accessible from outside of the Library, but a few of them can only be used from computers inside our building. Even Internet users who have access from computers elsewhere may be interested in using the Library's public access service to utilize the restricted databases. For more information about the databases and access instructions, visit this page.

You may print pages from our black-and-white printers for 15¢ each. If you wish to save information that you find online, you may purchase a blank disk from the Library for 50¢.

If you have any questions about public internet access, contact the Reference Department at 330-832-9831 ext. 312, or send email to mlibrary@usa.net.
