    This database from H.W. Wilson is a collection of biographical articles from a variety of sources. The database can be searched by name, genre, profession, gender, ethnic group, date, place of origin or a combination of any or all of them. Users can also browse by the subjects last name.

    Open the Multimedia Encyclopedia. Browse "History: United States". Scroll down and click on "Politics and Government." Scroll down and click on "The Presidency". The list of links on this page will be very helpful; it has presidential speeches, info on the first ladies, as well as info on presidential monuments and memorials.

For information on the White House itself, click on "Life in the White House" under the heading White House. On this page you may view stories and pictures of rooms within the White House. These links are located on the right-hand side of the page.
