Title: The Underground Guide to Teenage Sexuality:
An Essential Handbook for Today's Teens & Parents
Author: Michael J. Basso
type of book: Nonfiction
call number: 613.907/Bas (YA)
|
Summary:
The book has simple language, is up to date, and is a down to earth
talk about all aspects of sexuality, including: biology, relationships,
communication with parents and partners, STDs, the physical act itself, slang
terms, contraception, orientation, excuses and peer pressure, and rape/dating
issues.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
Basso is never preachy or too boringly technical. He fairly covers all
sides and points of view. Basso talks directly to the reader. Basso's
Top 50 Excuses are both funny and true.
Other suggested reading:
What's Happening to My Body? Book for Boys and What's Happening to My Body? Book for Girls, both by Lynda Madaras, et al.
