Title: The Executioner's Daughter
Author: Laura E. Williams
type of book: Historical Fiction
call number: YA/FIC
|
This book is strong in character, story and setting.
Summary:
Young Girl's father is the ax man (executioner) and because her mother
is sick, she is his assistant. She hates helping him. In medieval Europe,
being an executioner or the daughter of one means society will ostracize you.
Only the undertaker has a lower station. When her mother dies, she
feels even more alone.
I might recommend this book.
Why?
If you like stories that take place in the past and give a lot of detail
about medieval life, then this is the book for you.
