Summary:
In Coraline's flat there are 14 doors, but only 13 of the doors lead somewhere. The 14th door is bricked up; but when Coraline is alone, the 14th door has a passageway that leads to an alternate world made and controlled by an evil creature that wants to have children love her and play games. This creature - the other mother - has black button eyes and pale clammy skin. She captures children and steals their souls. Coraline must place a wager and play a game to win her freedom.

I would recommend this book!
