Title: The Hideout
Author: Eve Bunting
type of book: Fic
call number: J/Fic/Bun/Cass
|
This book is strong in character and story.
Summary:
This story geared toward young teens. The main character is a
boy 12, about to be 13. He is not happy with his stepfather and so he runs
away to be with his biological father. His adventure takes him to a magnificent
hideout and some not so nice people. He finds out who his friends really are
and who loves him.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
This book on tape was read by Johnny Heller. It is hard to tell how old he
is. He does an excellent job and makes it easy listening. The story moves well
and keeps the audience's interest.

Other suggested reading:
We have many of Eve Bunting's works. Many of them tend to follow the young adult mystery theme. I would recommend them.
