This book is strong in character and story.

- Mia's Grandmere (who doesn't like Mia much and vice versa)

Summary:
Mia's worried about normal teenage problems, like not having ever been on a date, grades in math, and friendship. One day she discovers that she's the only inheritor of the Genovian throne. Her father is controlled by her Grandmere and, due to a battle with cancer, is not capable of having more children. The pressure of princess training and keeping her new royal status causes Mia to fight horribly with her best friend Lily. Eventually, everyone at her school finds out she's a princess and soon the unpopular Mia is everyone's best friend.

I would recommend this book!

Why?
This is a light and humorous story that should be especially popular with female readers. The diary entry style is easy to read, and the audience will be engaged by Mia’s thoughts and feelings. All the characters are realistic and believable, even though the premise is unlikely. Overall, readers should identify with Mia and her problems, and the book’s wit makes it a page-turner.
