Summary:
Kit's family has decided to move back to Stoneygate, an old coal mining town. Kit's Grandpa was a miner. In Stoneygate, many young children died in the mines for hundreds of years. There is even a creepy monument to dead children in the town. The names on the monument match the names of children alive today - Kit, John, and Alison. Kit's new friend, John, comes from a "bad" family. He runs a weird gang of kids who play "death" in the old mine. He hypnotizes his friends and leaves them to "die" in the cave alone. Each week a knife is spun and whoever it stops on must be left alone. Will the knife point to Kit? Will he be left alone in the mine with the ghosts of all the dead children?

I would recommend this book!
