Summary:
Prosper and Bo are two brother orphans who ran away from their mean aunt and uncle, the Hartlieb's. The Thief Lord (Scipio), a 13 year old ringleader of young petty criminals in Venice, Italy takes them into his care. Victor Getz is a private detective hired by the Hartlieb's to find the runaway boys. The Thief Lord has been hired by the mysterious client "The Conte" to steal a broken antique wood wing. What happens when they try and steal the wing and will the private detective find the boys? Can the Thief Lord protect his friends?

I would recommend this book!

Why?
This book is a fun adventure like Harry Potter and Oliver Twist combined. It should appeal to both male and female teen readers, especially in grades 5th through 8th.
