Summary:
Roy Eberhardt recently moved to Florida and is bullied
on the bus to school everyday. One day the bully on the bus, Dana Matherson, starts really choking Roy
and Roy fights back by punching Dana in the nose and breaking it. While this
happens, Roy sees this poor looking boy (Mullet Fingers) with no shoes running
through lawns to a spot in the woods. Roy is intrigued by the boy and wants to now why he isn't in school and why he's always running.
Meanwhile, the local police department is having trouble with
some mysterious vandals who keep doing things to delay the start of construction
for a new restaurant in town.
Roy soon discovers who the vandal is and why that person is trying to stop
the construction of the pancake house.
I would recommend this book!
Why?
The reader gets caught up in wondering if Roy will get involved in the pancake house issue, too. They'll also want to find out if Roy can eventually get Dana the bully to leave him alone.
