Summary:
This is the journal of Courtney Von Dragen Smith: middle child of a divorced family, and a girl trying her best to be a vegetarian. She has decided to make her senior year at high school anti-guy, so she won't feel horrible again like she did when Dave broke up with her.

She needs an extracurricular activity for her college essay and application papers, so she runs for and becomes Vice President for student government.

Eventually it becomes harder for her to remain "anti-guy" because Grant likes her and she finds herself liking him . . .

I would recommend this book!

Why?
This book is in an easy to read in a diary entry style. Because of this format, readers feel close to Courtney immediately and can relate to her pain, confusion, and frustration. All the torment of being in high school and dealing with relationships is done at a lower intensity with a lot of humor. Overall, this is a quick, enjoyable read.
