This book is strong in character and story.

Summary:
Cyd is not getting along with her family at all. She has been getting very attached to her new boyfriend Shrimp and sneaking out a night, etc. Eventually, Shrimp feels a little trapped and suffocated and says he needs some distance until school starts. Cyd's mother and step-father decide to send her to New York to meet and stay with her real dad until the end of summer.

I would recommend this book!

Why?
This book is about relationships with parents, friends, siblings, and significant others. It's about growing up and dealing with life and the choices, both good and bad, people make. It's about reconciling differences and coming to agreements with friends and family.

It's a fast and enjoyable read. The reader will care about Cyd and her problems and will hope she will come to some understanding of life by the end.
